From introducing children and adults to the sport of triathlon to working with USA Olympians and Olympic hopefuls, Justin’s coaching experience is extensive. He joins Team Wilpers with over 10+ years of coaching experience spanning all levels, as well as a 10+ year athletic career. A life-long, experiential learner, Justin focuses on developing the skills necessary for success in whatever his athletes are striving for athletically. His unique experiences coaching many different sports allows him to program training that is comprehensive and focused on long-term athletic development facilitating athletes’ progress year after year.
The past decade he has worked with athletes in running, ultra-running, cycling, triathlon, track & field, cross country, bobsled, skeleton and luge. Justin has helped triathletes from their first race to their first Iroman. As an extension to his Master’s research, he has consulted for the USA Bobsled & Skeleton federation including working the Pyeongchang Olympic Test Event in 2017. This breadth of experience helps him bring together the art and science of human movement.
Justin was one of the top distance runners in NY and was a DI scholarship athlete. He picked up triathlon along the way and competed as a self-coached professional triathlete racing all distances winning multiple races in triathlon, off-road & on-road running and cycling (CAT 3).
